Material Studies

As a creative, I feel responsible for what I am creating, and its impacts on our surroundings, socially, economically and most definitely ecologically.

This is my pledge: to become more involved in my local community, to educate myself in ways in which our education, social and politcal systems have yet to. To understand where our materials come from, what they go through and where they will end up in.

① Patterns and Textiles with Grass Roots

Inspired by artists such as Diana Scherer, I grew grass roots in a silicone mold, which shows the root system conforming to the mold’s shape.
